Landmark Academy offers a unique blend of self-paced and instructor-based classes.  Self-paced classes are computer-based curriculum offered in the homeroom class Monday-Friday.  A homeroom instructor monitors the student’s progress, answers questions, and grades the students work.  Instructor-based classes are a more traditional class with the instructor lecturing or working directly with the student and are conducted in an individual classroom environment.  They take place on a weekly schedule.  Most students do best with a mix of the different formats.

Self-paced classes require approximately 4 hours per week spent in homeroom.  This homeroom time is scheduled with the help of an academic advisor. Students can have extra homeroom time if needed and should bring homework or other assignments in case they finish early. Students working on self-paced classes in homeroom are dismissed to attend instructor-based classes as scheduled.

All self-paced classes are also available in an on-line format with teacher interface and grading.

Using a combination of self-paced and instructor-based classes, a student can enroll in a full time curriculum for their grade level.  Landmark Academy maintains a full transcript on all students enrolled in at least one self-paced class.  In that case, the transcript includes both self-paced and instructor-based classes and may also include other home school classes with parent notification.

Landmark Academy does not have a standard uniform policy.  Students may dress to their preference within the dress code guidelines.

Monthly tuition is on a per class basis and is calculated by accumulating the cost of all the classes the student is enrolled in.  Some discounts apply on self-paced classes.
