Class Description: Students will take an in-depth journey into anatomy and physiology of e human body. From the brain to the nails on toes, your student will encounter fascinating facts, engaging activities, intriguing experiments, and loads of fun while learning about the human body and how to keep it working well. Starting with a brief history of medicine and a peek into cells and DNA, your student will learn many facts about the body systems from skeletal to cardiovascular and more! They will study nutrition and health, how God designed their immune system to protect them, along with embryology and what makes them a unique creation of God. Your student will enjoy adding organs about which they learn to their personalized human figure to be placed in their unique anatomy and physiology notebooking journal. In addition to all this exploration, students will enjoy scientific experiments and projects, such as testing the bacteria content around the house, finding their blood type, creating a cell model, and even building a stethoscope!

Materials Needed: Apologia's Exploring Creation With Human Anatomy and Physiology Text (required) and Apologia's Anatomy and Physiology Notebooking Journal is highly recommended but not required (both books available at the H.E.R. Store). Students will also need general school supplies: paper, colored pencils, medium glue dots and scissors.
